The Double Veil
Ingredients
- 60ml Johnnie Walker Double Black
- 30ml Crème de Cacao Dark
- 20ml Espresso (freshly brewed, cooled)
- 15ml Honey Syrup
- 10ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters Ice (for shaking)
Method
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add Johnnie Walker Double Black, Crème de Cacao Dark, cooled espresso, honey syrup, and fresh lemon juice
- Add two dashes of Angostura Bitters
- Shake vigorously for 12-15 seconds until well-chilled
- Double strain through a fine mesh strainer into the prepared glass
- Top with a single large ice cube if desired
Serve
Serve in a coupe glass. Garnish with a single dark chocolate curl (approximately 3cm long) placed on the rim of the glass. Express the oils from a lemon twist over the surface of the cocktail and discard. Optional: dust the rim lightly with cocoa powder before pouring for enhanced visual presentation.
