Tasting notes
In every class at school, there's always a student who has a well-groomed haircut, a side part, and is dressed very neatly. He's the top of the class, a bit bullied by his classmates but at the same time respected because he gets good grades. The Premier Cru Pézerolles is his personality, a consensual wine that will be very popular. A beautiful length, a lovely color, a rich palette of aromas, all the characteristics of a great wine.

Key characteristics
About this wine
Domaine Heitz Lochardet makes this Pommard Premier Cru from the Pezerolles vineyard, a well-regarded climat on the appellation's southern edge. Pommard is Pinot Noir country with a firmer, more structured reputation than its neighbours, and this cuvée carries that character through to bottle.
Expect a wine with real grip and dark-fruited depth, built to hold its own at table rather than fade into the background. Pour it with roast duck, venison, or a well-aged hard cheese, and serve at 16-18°C to let the structure soften.
