From a slightly cooler vintage, the 2012 Meshach Shiraz delivers more spice and red-berried fruit than the 2016. Vanilla and cedar notes accent raspberries on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate remains a bit tight and closed. This was looking better on the second day the bottle was open -more relaxed and welcoming, with a soft wash of dusty tannins on the long finish.

About this wine
Grant Burge - Meshach - Shiraz
Indulge in the rich and full-bodied taste of Grant Burge's Meshach Shiraz. This premium wine is made from the finest Shiraz grapes, carefully selected from the Barossa Valley in South Australia.
The Meshach Shiraz is a deep ruby red in colour, with aromas of blackberry, plum, and spice. On the palate, it is complex and layered, with flavours of dark fruit, chocolate, and a hint of vanilla. The tannins are firm and well-structured, providing a long and satisfying finish.
Grant Burge is a renowned winemaker with a long history of producing exceptional wines. The Meshach Shiraz is named after Grant's great-grandfather, who was a pioneer of the Barossa Valley wine industry. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, which adds to its complexity and depth of flavour.
This wine is perfect for special occasions or for those who appreciate the finer things in life. Enjoy it with a hearty meal, such as a slow-cooked beef stew or a grilled steak. Alternatively, savour it on its own, in front of a roaring fire or with good company.
