After maturing their whisky for 21 years, Glendfiddich Malt Master adds even warmer and richer flavours by uniquely finishing this single malt in first fill bourbon barrels that once contained rum from the Caribbean. The rum-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through. This gives our whisky a sumptuous sweet intensity that is both rich and creamy yet still retains the unmistakable character of Glenfiddich. Great for those expecting a very mature, traditional yet intriguing malt. Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant and drying. New leather and oak nose combine with complex sweet, smoky and subtle ginger flavours in this classic Glenfiddich.

About this whisky
Glenfiddich is a renowned Scottish distillery that has been producing some of the world's finest single malt whiskies for over a century. The Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21-year-old is a premium expression that has been aged in a combination of American oak and European oak casks, resulting in a complex and rich flavour profile.
The history of Glenfiddich dates back to 1886 when William Grant, a former employee of Mortlach Distillery, decided to build his own distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. With the help of his seven sons and two daughters, he built the distillery by hand, using only the finest materials and traditional methods. Today, Glenfiddich is still owned and operated by the Grant family, making it one of the few remaining family-owned distilleries in Scotland.
The Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21-year-old is a testament to the distillery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The whisky is matured in a combination of American oak and European oak casks, which have been previously used to age bourbon and sherry respectively. This unique combination of casks imparts a rich and complex flavour profile to the whisky, with notes of vanilla, honey, and oak.
The production process for Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21-year-old begins with the selection of the finest malted barley, which is then mashed and fermented to create a wash. The wash is then distilled in copper pot stills, which have been specially designed to produce a light and fruity spirit. The spirit is then aged in the aforementioned casks for a minimum of 21 years, during which time it develops its unique flavour profile.
The Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21-year-old is a premium single malt whisky that is perfect for sipping and savouring. Its rich and complex flavour profile makes it an ideal choice for special occasions or as a gift for whisky connoisseurs. Whether enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, this whisky is sure to impress even the most discerning of palates.
