Clear, rich ruby. Intense and appealing nose, very pronounced with lots of blueberries and dark currants, some blood orange and some liquorice in the background. Grippy, savoury tannins, a bit grippy at the core, lots of dark berry fruit, spreads out continuously on the palate, juicy and long finish.

About this wine
Gaja is a renowned Italian wine producer that has been in operation since 1859. The company is based in the Piedmont region of Italy and is known for producing some of the finest wines in the world. One of their most popular wines is the Ca'marcanda, which is produced in the Bolgheri region of Tuscany.
The Ca'marcanda is a red wine that is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah grapes. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, which gives it a rich and complex flavour profile. The wine has a deep ruby colour and a bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a long and smooth finish.
The Camarcanda is another popular wine produced by Gaja. This wine is also made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah grapes. However, the Camarcanda is aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, which gives it a more intense flavour profile. The wine has a deep ruby colour and a bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a long and complex finish.
Overall, Gaja is a producer that is known for producing high-quality wines that are rich in flavour and complexity. The Ca'marcanda and Camarcanda are two of their most popular wines, and they are both excellent choices for anyone looking for a premium Italian wine.
