Tasting notes

Initial caramel and oak aromas open to a more red-apple scent. The brisk palate shows some vanilla, but it's light, underscored by another red-apple note. Vanilla treads lightly on top. A quick baking-spice finish suggests nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. There's also apple butter, with a vanilla-cream exhale.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Frapin Heritage VSOP Cognac
  • 20 ml Cointreau
  • 20 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 10 ml honey syrup (1:1 ratio)
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice for stirring

Method

  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the Frapin Heritage VSOP Cognac, Cointreau, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, and Angostura bitters.
  2. Stir continuously for 15 seconds until well-chilled and properly diluted.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass using a fine strainer.

Serve

Coupe glass (pre-chilled), garnished with a twisted lemon peel expressed over the surface and placed delicately on the rim. Optional: light sugar rim on the glass edge for added sophistication.
