Tasting notes
An important wine that raised the bar in this storied appellation, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine shows well-managed evolution, polished tannins, dark fruit and lots of savory spice and campfire ash. There is some dusty mineral too that adds definition and complexity. The wine ages in oak for up to 24 months and sees another 12 months in bottle.
