Tasting notes
It's impossible to talk about Côtes-du-Rhône without mentioning Guigal. This 2022 vintage ticks all the boxes of the house style: depth, balance, and generosity. It features a well-honed trio: Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, from vines averaging 35 years old, aged for a year and a half in foudres. The result? A full-bodied red, with notes of black fruit and spice, at once ample, distinguished, and elegant. Present but silky tannins, controlled structure, and a delicious length. A classic? Yes, but a high-end classic.
