Enquire about availabilityThe Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Maltroie comes from a 0.40 hectare parcel close to the cuverie in the "Froncement" lieu-dit. The nose is the most lees now, with touches of almond and coconut on the nose, later orange cordial. The palate is well balanced with quite a “fat” mid-palate, but fine definition and sense of tension toward the tangy marmalade-tinged finish. Very fine.
Domaine Bruno Colin is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, a village in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France. The winery has a long history of producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
The La Maltroie vineyard is one of the premier cru vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet, known for producing some of the finest white wines in the world. The vineyard is located on a gentle slope with a south-eastern exposure, which allows the grapes to ripen fully and develop complex flavors.
The style of production at Domaine Bruno Colin is traditional, with a focus on minimal intervention in the vineyard and the winery. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used in the winemaking process. The wine is fermented in oak barrels, which adds complexity and depth to the final product.
The La Maltroie Premier Cru is a classic Chassagne-Montrachet white wine, with a pale gold color and aromas of citrus, white flowers, and toasted almonds. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and honey. The wine has a long, lingering finish with a hint of minerality.
Overall, Domaine Bruno Colin is a producer of exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet. The La Maltroie Premier Cru is a standout wine that is sure to impress even the most discerning wine connoisseur.
