Elegant and precise, this premier cru Chardonnay opens with aromas of white peach, lemon curd, and crushed chalk, underpinned by subtle toasted oak and hazelnut. On the palate, it delivers a refined tension between ripe citrus fruit and vibrant acidity, with notes of blossom, almond cream, and a mineral saline quality characteristic of the En Remilly climat. The finish is long, focused, and beautifully persistent.
Domaine Bruno Colin's Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru comes from the En Remilly vineyard, a site prized for wines with more lift and precision than the appellation's richer plots. Made entirely from Chardonnay, it sits at 13.5% abv, giving it enough weight to stand up to serious food.
Expect a white with tension alongside its Burgundian richness, good with shellfish, pasta in cream or butter sauces, and soft cheeses like Brie. It also holds its own against oily fish. Serve at 12-14°C, ideally with time to open in the glass.
