Rising from the glass with precision and elegance, this Chardonnay is still tight yet offers plenty of succulent citrus notes with notions of almond skin and green and yellow apples. Medium-bodied and with 13.5% alcohol, the Chardonnay opens just slightly on the palate to eventually roll back and uncoil, offering greater freshness and complexity with time on the palate. It's a gorgeous wine, but it will need an additional year to find its cadence and hit its stride. This is some of the best Chardonnay from the Rainbow Nation, and it deserves to be admired and consumed with the best.
A nice combination of pear and peach, with a hint of vanilla. The full flavor palette is perfectly balanced: fruity with a subtle spiciness. The pleasant acid provides a nice aftertaste. Delicious with chicken or seafood.
