Tasting notes

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Larcis Ducasse opens with opulent scents of blueberry pie, baked plums and spice cake with nuances of unsmoked cigars, dusty soil, licorice and a touch of salami. Big, rich, full-bodied and incredibly impactful on the palate, it proudly struts its bold black and blue fruits with a plush, velvet-textured cape, finishing long and spicy.

About this wine

Château Larcis Ducasse is a prestigious Saint-Emilion Grand Cru estate renowned for producing elegant, age-worthy red wines from the celebrated Bordeaux region. The château's vineyards benefit from the distinctive terroir of Saint-Emilion, where limestone-clay soils and ideal sun exposure create ideal conditions for Merlot and Cabernet Franc. These varietals form the backbone of the estate's signature blend, delivering a medium-bodied wine with refined structure and complexity.

The winemaking philosophy at Château Larcis Ducasse emphasizes traditional techniques combined with meticulous quality control, resulting in wines that express the character of their terroir. The balanced composition of Merlot and Cabernet Franc produces a dry red wine with the depth and sophistication expected of a Grand Cru Bordeaux, at 14.5% ABV.

This Saint-Emilion red pairs beautifully with classic French cuisine, roasted meats, and fine dining preparations. Whether enjoyed in a château setting, yacht, or fine dining establishment, Château Larcis Ducasse represents the excellence and heritage of Bordeaux winemaking.
