The 12 hectares of vines of Château de La Guimonière, gathered on the slopes of Layon , bear witness to the antiquity of the vineyard created in the 15th century. The manual harvests and the aging on fine lees in oak barrels offer a wine of beautiful aromatic complexity and perfect balance. A powerful nose with aromas of exotic fruits and apricot, a delicate and gourmet mouth with notes of honey, which leaves a rich but light finish. Perfect mastery and an exceptional aging capacity!
Château de la Guimonière produces exceptional sweet wines from the Coteaux du Layon appellation in France's Loire Valley, a region renowned for its mastery of botrytized Chenin Blanc. This 1er Cru Chaume represents the pinnacle of Loire sweet wine craftsmanship, showcasing the estate's commitment to capturing the complexity and intensity that noble rot brings to the grape.
Made entirely from Chenin Blanc, this light-bodied sweet wine displays pronounced intensity with characteristic stone fruit notes and a distinctive leesy character that adds depth and complexity. At 12% ABV, it achieves an elegant balance between richness and freshness, making it a powerful expression of terroir-driven winemaking in one of France's most prestigious sweet wine regions.
This versatile sweet wine pairs beautifully with a range of sophisticated fare: blue cheese and goat cheese, delicate cream-based desserts, tarte tatin, crème brûlée, and foie gras. Its structure and intensity make it equally suited to fine dining establishments and intimate château dinners.
