2021 Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of fresh sweet citrus, grapefruit, and melon before revealing complex notes of green pear, freshly cut hay, and stony minerality. Light-bodied and elegant on the palate, a beautiful through line of bright, citrusy acidity defines the wine with vibrant flavours of ripe melon, grapefruit, and citrus zest before the smooth, refreshing finish.
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc offers up invigorating scents of fresh grapefruit, yuzu zest and green apples with wafts of lime blossoms and paraffin wax. Medium-bodied, the palate is clean and racy, featuring straightforward citrus and apple flavours with a zippy finish.
The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc bursts with melon and lime scents plus hints of mandarin peel, fresh hay and elderflower. Medium-bodied, clean and lively, it has a great intensity of citrusy flavours and a savoury finish.
The nose opens with white peaches, fresh Golden Delicious apples, and pears scents with hints of dill seed, bouquet garni and white pepper. Medium-bodied, it features a refreshing backbone supporting the vibrant apple and pear flavours, finishing with an herbal lift.

Cakebread Cellars has vineyard properties located throughout Napa Valley and a location in the Anderson Valley. The winery ranches surrounding the production facility in Rutherford are where it all began. The first 22 acre parcel was purchased in 1972. Over the years, the family has continued to acquire additional vineyard parcels throughout Napa Valley and the North Coast. Today, the winery owns 13 sites totalling 1100 acres, 560 of which are currently planted. This judicious acquisition and development of vineyard land enables them to more completely control the quality of the fruit they grow and the wines they make.
