Tasting notes
Pale golden-green. Remarkable and aromatic intensity on the nose. Floral notes of white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia, eglantine, and elderflower. This is backed up by blackcurrant buds and wild flowers. It is lively on the palette, with very pleasant acidulous characteristics prolonged by light fruity notes. Full and refreshing, it is dominated by flinty stones and chalk typical of fine Sancerre wines.

About this wine
De Ladoucette is a renowned producer of Sancerre wines, with a history dating back to the 18th century. The estate was acquired by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette in 1972, who has since then been dedicated to producing some of the finest wines in the region.
The Comte Lafond vineyard, which is part of the De Ladoucette estate, is located in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, on the left bank of the Loire River. The vineyard covers an area of 65 hectares, with a mix of soils that include limestone, clay, and flint. The unique terroir of the region, combined with the expertise of the winemakers at De Ladoucette, results in wines that are elegant, complex, and expressive.
The Sancerre wines produced by De Ladoucette are made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which is known for its crisp acidity and citrusy flavors. The grapes are handpicked and carefully selected to ensure only the best quality fruit is used in the winemaking process. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors of the grapes.
The Comte Lafond Sancerre Blanc is the flagship wine of the De Ladoucette estate. This wine is a classic expression of the Sancerre terroir, with aromas of citrus, white flowers, and minerality. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing, with flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of flint. The wine has a long, lingering finish that leaves a pleasant, mineral aftertaste.
In addition to the Sancerre Blanc, De Ladoucette also produces a range of other wines, including a Sancerre Rouge made from Pinot Noir grapes, and a Sancerre Rosé made from Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes. These wines are also of exceptional quality, with the same attention to detail and expertise that goes into the production of the Sancerre Blanc.
Overall, De Ladoucette is a producer that is dedicated to producing some of the finest wines in the Sancerre appellation. With a rich history, a unique terroir,
