Located in the heart of the Southern Rhône Valley in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Raymond Usseglio & Fils is a family-owned winery with a long history of producing exceptional wines. Founded in 1948 by Raymond Usseglio, the domaine is now run by his two grandsons, Jean-Pierre and Thierry Usseglio, who continue the family's tradition of quality winemaking.
The domaine covers 21 hectares of vineyards, with the majority of their vines planted in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The region is known for its warm, dry climate and rocky soils, which are ideal for growing the traditional grape varieties of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. These grapes are the backbone of the domaine's red blends, which also include smaller amounts of Cinsault, Counoise, and Vaccarèse.

The domaine produces red wines under the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, and is among the estates in the region that produces a certified kosher cuvée, making it accessible to observant Jewish consumers without departing from the appellation's traditional framework.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a large appellation on the left bank of the Rhône, characterised by its famous galets roulés, large, rounded stones that retain heat and reflect sunlight onto the vines. The appellation permits a broad range of grape varieties, though red wines are typically dominated by Grenache, often blended with Syrah, Mourvèdre, and other permitted varieties. Wines from the appellation tend toward ripe, full-bodied profiles with flavours of dark fruit, garrigue, and spice, with the capacity to age considerably.
The estate's current range includes a red Châteauneuf-du-Pape based on Grenache and Syrah. The inclusion of Syrah alongside Grenache is a common blending approach in the appellation, with Grenache providing body and red fruit character while Syrah contributes structure, colour, and darker spice notes.
