There is a new unsulfured Pinot Noir from a vineyard planted in 1932, the 2020 Sin Azufre Treinta y Dos. It fermented in old open-top 228-liter French barrels, alternating destemmed grapes and full clusters, and it matured in barrel. It has 12.5% alcohol and good freshness and acidity, despite the warmer vintage. Despite being vinified and aged in barrel, the oak feels very integrated; they used older barrels here, to give micro-oxygenation but not the aromatic or gustative influence from the wood. In search of purity, they didn't use any press wine, and it shows in the result. This is also very precise, and tasted blind, it would be very difficult to say that this is a wine with no added sulfur. There's precision and cleanliness. Only 900 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2020.

Patagonia is a region located in the southernmost part of Argentina, known for its rugged landscapes and extreme weather conditions. Despite its harsh environment, Patagonia has become a promising wine region, producing some of the most unique and high-quality wines in the country.

The wine production in Patagonia started in the 1990s, with the arrival of a group of adventurous winemakers who saw the potential of the region's cool climate and well-drained soils. Today, Patagonia is home to some of the most innovative wineries in Argentina, focusing on producing elegant and complex wines that reflect the region's terroir.

The main grape varieties grown in Patagonia are Pinot Noir, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Due to the region's cool climate, the wines produced here are characterized by their freshness, acidity, and delicate aromas. Pinot Noir is the most widely planted grape variety in Patagonia, producing wines with bright red fruit flavors, silky tannins, and a long finish.

Apart from still wines, Patagonia is also known for its sparkling wines, which are made using the traditional method. These wines are crisp, refreshing, and have a fine mousse, making them perfect for celebrations and special occasions.

Overall, Patagonia is a region that is worth exploring for wine lovers who are looking for something different and unique. Its wines are a true reflection of the region's rugged beauty and extreme conditions, making them a perfect match for adventurous palates.
