Salon is a Champagne house based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs, one of Champagne's most prestigious villages for Chardonnay cultivation. Founded in 1911 by Eugène-Aimé Salon, the house operates under a unique philosophy of producing wine only in exceptional vintages, releasing a single cuvée made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from their own vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

The house follows an extremely selective approach, declaring a vintage only when conditions are deemed perfect - typically fewer than four times per decade. This blanc de blancs Champagne spends extensive time on its lees, often aging for a decade or more before release. Le Mesnil-sur-Oger's chalky soils and favorable microclimate produce Chardonnay with exceptional minerality and aging potential, characteristics that define Salon's house style.

Salon's single wine expression, the 'S' cuvée, represents one of Champagne's most uncompromising approaches to terroir expression. The current vintage offering demonstrates the house's commitment to producing Champagne only when their exacting standards are met, with each release representing what they consider the pinnacle expression of Chardonnay from their Le Mesnil-sur-Oger vineyard sites.
