Didier Dagueneau is a reference name in the panoply of great winegrowers. A pupil of the legendary Henri Jayer, Didier Dagueneau was an artist passionate about the vine, which he worked meticulously, with a deep philosophy of respect for the terroir. His death in 2008 left his children, Louis Benjamin and Charlotte, the legacy of his work and his philosophy: parcel selections, harvests at optimal maturity, aging on lees and under wood without any racking. The wines remain models of purity, crystalline and transparent expression of sauvignon blanc. The Sancerre Les Monts Damnés is a cuvée of great elegance, which fully expresses the minerality of its Chavignol terroir. The nose is open, fruity (pineapple, lychee), with floral and liquorice notes. The mouth is rich and deep, with fat, roundness and volume, aromas of exotic fruits and white fruits.

Didier Dagueneau is a renowned wine producer from the Loire Valley in France. The estate is located in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, which is known for producing some of the finest Sauvignon Blanc wines in the world. The estate was founded by Didier's father, Marcel Dagueneau, in the 1960s, and Didier took over in the 1980s.

Didier Dagueneau was a pioneer in the region, and he was known for his innovative approach to winemaking. He was one of the first producers in the Loire Valley to use oak barrels for aging his wines, and he was also one of the first to use wild yeasts for fermentation. These techniques have since been adopted by many other producers in the region.

The wines produced by Didier Dagueneau are known for their complexity and depth of flavor. They are made from grapes grown on the estate's 11 hectares of vineyards, which are planted on the famous Kimmeridgian limestone soils that are found in the region. The wines are fermented in oak barrels and aged on their lees for several months, which gives them a rich, creamy texture.

The estate produces several different wines, including Pouilly-Fumé, Pouilly-sur-Loire, and Sancerre. The Pouilly-Fumé is the flagship wine of the estate, and it is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The wine is known for its intense aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, as well as its minerality and acidity. The Pouilly-sur-Loire is made from 100% Chasselas grapes, and it is a lighter, more delicate wine with notes of white flowers and citrus. The Sancerre is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, and it is a rich, full-bodied red wine with flavors of red fruit and spice.

Didier Dagueneau passed away in 2008, but his legacy lives on through his wines. The estate is now run by his son, Benjamin Dagueneau, who continues to produce some of the finest wines in the Loire Valley.
