Tasting notes

This is a full-bodied, round, intense, piquant and kicking Wehlener Sonnenuhr with a very juicy and intense sweetness, but a lingering minerality. Very sophisticated and complex, this is extremely promising.

About this wine

Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm stands as one of the Mosel's most prestigious estates, crafting elegant Riesling wines from the region's finest vineyard sites. This Wehlener Sonnenuhr represents the pinnacle of German winemaking tradition, sourced from one of the Mosel Valley's most celebrated south-facing slopes. The vineyard's slate-rich terroir imparts distinctive mineral character and complexity to every bottle.

This Riesling Spätlese showcases the producer's masterful approach to late-harvest winemaking. At just 7.5% alcohol, it balances natural sweetness with crisp acidity, creating a rounded, medium-bodied white wine of remarkable finesse. The mineral-driven profile and long finish reflect both the terroir and Prüm's commitment to quality viticulture and careful cellar work.

Versatile and sophisticated, this Mosel white pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, and Asian cuisine. Its low alcohol content and elegant structure make it equally suited to aperitif service or leisurely contemplation. An essential addition to any fine wine collection.
