Opus One is a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, established in 1979 in Napa Valley, California. The winery produces a single flagship Bordeaux-style red wine blend from their estate vineyards in Oakville, within the Napa Valley AVA.

The wine is crafted as a premium Bordeaux-style blend, typically dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.
