Tasting notes
This NV Tio Pepe Fino is an icon of Sherry wine. Produced from Palomino grapes aged in the Tio Pepe solera for an average of four years under flor. It has a light nose of dried flowers, almonds and olives, in a subtle way and a dry palate dominated by the chalky notes. Light and easy to drink, it is a good introduction to Fino Sherry.

Key characteristics
About this wine
Tio Pepe is a renowned producer of Dry Fino Sherry, a type of fortified wine that originates from the Andalusia region of Spain. With a history dating back to 1835, Tio Pepe has become a favourite among wine enthusiasts around the world due to its commitment to using traditional production methods and its focus on quality.
The Dry Fino Sherry is made using the traditional Solera system, which involves blending wines of different ages to achieve a consistent flavour profile. The wine is made from Palomino grapes, which are grown in the chalky soils of the Jerez region and harvested by hand. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks, fortified with grape spirit, and aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. The result is a pale, dry wine with a delicate aroma of almonds and a crisp, refreshing taste.
Tio Pepe's Dry Fino Sherry is best served chilled and pairs well with a variety of foods, including seafood, tapas, and cheese. In addition to its Dry Fino Sherry, Tio Pepe also produces a range of other fortified wines, including Amontillado, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez. Each of these wines is made using the same Solera system and traditional production methods, resulting in a unique and complex flavour profile.
Overall, Tio Pepe is a producer of high-quality Dry Fino Sherry and other fortified wines that are steeped in history and tradition. With its commitment to quality and traditional production methods, Tio Pepe has become a favourite among wine enthusiasts around the world.
