The 2023 release is all about clarity and poise. There’s richness to the fruit, no doubt, but the winemaking is restrained - wild ferment, old oak, no heavy-handed tricks - letting the vineyard do the talking. This isn’t a buttery bruiser, nor is it ultra-mineral or lean. It’s somewhere in between: savoury, refreshing, quietly complex, and very moreish.
Craggy Range - Kidnappers - Chardonnay
Experience the taste of New Zealand with Craggy Range's Kidnappers Chardonnay. This wine is a true reflection of the Hawke's Bay region, where the grapes are grown in a unique coastal vineyard.
The Kidnappers Chardonnay has a bright and refreshing taste profile, with notes of citrus and stone fruit. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, which adds a subtle hint of vanilla and spice to the finish.
Craggy Range is a family-owned winery that has been producing award-winning wines since 1997. The winery is committed to sustainable practices and uses only the highest quality grapes to create their wines.
This Chardonnay is perfect for pairing with seafood or poultry dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own. Sip it on a warm summer evening while watching the sunset, or share a bottle with friends over a delicious meal.
