Tasting notes

Nibbio della Sala is characterised by a finely defined, very Burgundian style and the characteristic mineral properties of the vineyard site. Lively and elegant bouquet with flint, white apricots, green pears, hazelnuts, lemons, green tea and a hint of toast. Full on the palate, yet elegant and refined, with bright acidity, polished phenolics and a silky, structured and lively DNA and great length.

About this wine

Nibbio della Sala is a refined white wine from Castello della Sala, the Umbrian estate of the legendary Marchesi Antinori family. Crafted from Chardonnay grown in the mineral-rich terroir of Umbria IGT, this wine embodies the elegance and structure characteristic of Antinori's winemaking philosophy. The cool climate and volcanic soils of the region impart a distinctive flinty minerality and lively acidity that define the wine's character.

This Chardonnay-based white pairs beautifully with a refined selection of dishes: shellfish, lobster, and crab showcase its crisp structure, while creamy preparations, from Brie and Camembert to creme brûlée, complement its subtle toast and complexity. It's equally at home alongside roast chicken, goat cheese, truffle-based dishes, and fresh salads. At 13% ABV, it offers restraint and balance, making it a sophisticated choice for both intimate dining and fine entertaining aboard yachts, in chalets, or at villa tables.
