Tasting notes
The Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Furstentum is a superb wine! The aromas of exotic fruits which emanate from this very clean, precise and rather fresh nose, lead to a rich, powerful, complex, highly elegant and subtle palate, with a long, tense and almost dry finish. Very expressive and highly recommended.

The Furstentum vineyard, classified as a Grand Cru, is the jewel in the crown of Domaine Weinbach. Situated on the slopes of the Vosges Mountains, this vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate and terroir that contribute to the production of exceptional wines.
The history of Domaine Weinbach can be traced back to the Capuchin monks who first planted vines in the area in the 17th century. The estate was later acquired by the Faller family in 1898 and has been passed down through generations ever since. Today, the estate is managed by Catherine Faller and her two daughters, Laurence and Evelyne.
The style of production at Domaine Weinbach is characterized by a commitment to traditional winemaking techniques and a deep respect for the land. The vineyards are cultivated using organic and biodynamic practices, with a focus on preserving the natural balance of the ecosystem. This approach allows the grapes to fully express their unique characteristics and terroir.

The Gewurztraminer wines are known for their exotic aromas of lychee, rose petals, and spices, accompanied by a luscious and full-bodied palate. These wines have a remarkable ability to age, developing even more complexity and depth over time.
In addition to Gewurztraminer, Domaine Weinbach also produces a range of other varietal wines, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Muscat. Each wine showcases the unique characteristics of the grape variety and the terroir in which it is grown.
