About this cognac
Louis Royer is a Jarnac-based Cognac house with a long-standing reputation for sourcing and blending from across the Cognac appellation. Their X.O is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of ten years, drawn from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and other classified crus.
Expect the hallmarks of a well-aged X.O: dried fruit, candied orange peel, toasted oak, and a long, warming finish with rancio character. Serve neat in a tulip glass after dinner, or alongside dark chocolate, aged hard cheese, or a cigar if the occasion calls for it.
The Royal Cellar

- 1 dash Orange Bitters
Method
- Fill a mixing glass with large ice cubes.
- Pour the Louis Royer X.O Cognac, Bénédictine, Crème de Cacao, fresh lemon juice, and honey syrup into the mixing glass.
- Add both dashes of Angostura bitters and orange bitters.
- Stir continuously for 12-15 seconds until the outside of the glass becomes frosted.
