The 2022 Chardonnay Bramìto della Sala shows a more evident layer of richness and texture that you don't get in the thinner 2016 edition. This wine is partially barrel fermented (with malolactic fermentation), and the fruit comes from the younger vines at the Castello della Sala. A portion of the fruit represents leftovers that never made it into the top-shelf wine, Cervaro della Sala. This wine offers fantastic value and easy-drinking appeal. It's not too complicated, but it plays its few ace cards with an expert hand. Bramito del Cervo is a well-balanced wine with good structure, fresh and creamy at the same time, clear-cut, clean and with a pleasantly fruity finish.
A Chardonnay in all its purity, straw-coloured with greenish flecks and a nose that offers a fascinating and complete bouquet of varietal notes (tropical and citrus fruits, peaches), dried herbs, and other notes imparted by its short stay in oak: sweet spices and hazelnuts in particular. Bramito del Cervo is a well-balanced wine with good structure, fresh and creamy at the same time, clear-cut, clean and with a pleasantly fruity finish.

Antinori is the most famous name in Italian wine and the influence of Piero Antinori in the last 25 years has been nothing short of revolutionary. Antinori's flagship wine, Tignanello, first appeared in 1971 and caused a sensation by its use of Cabernet Sauvignon in a Sangiovese blend and with its practice of ageing in small French barriques. Antinori was accused of vinous treachery and treason but soon barrique-aged blends of Sangiovese and Cabernet began appearing all across Tuscany.

Umbria is a region in central Italy that is known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. The region is also home to some of the finest wines in Italy, including the famous Sagrantino di Montefalco.

The production of wine in Umbria dates back to ancient times, with the Etruscans being the first to cultivate grapes in the region. Today, Umbria is home to a number of different grape varieties, including Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sagrantino.

Sagrantino is the most famous wine produced in Umbria, and it is known for its deep, rich flavor and high tannin content. This wine is made from the Sagrantino grape, which is only grown in the Montefalco area of Umbria. Sagrantino di Montefalco is a DOCG wine, which means it is subject to strict production regulations to ensure its quality.

In addition to Sagrantino, Umbria is also known for its white wines, including Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino. These wines are crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit.

Overall, Umbria is a region that is rich in history and culture, and its wines are a reflection of this. Whether you are a fan of bold reds or crisp whites, there is something for everyone in Umbria's wine scene.
