Tasting notes

Based on the 2019 vintage and disgorged this year with three grams per liter dosage, the NV Brut Premier Cru Les Vignes de Vrigny wafts from the glass with aromas of green apple, white flowers, freshly baked bread and crushed mint. Medium to full-bodied, pure and fleshy, it's vinous and precise, with racy acids and a sapid finish.

About this sparkling wine

Égly-Ouriet is a grower Champagne producer renowned for crafting expressive, terroir-driven sparkling wines from premier cru vineyards in the Champagne region of France. Les Vignes de Vrigny represents the house's commitment to showcasing the distinctive character of individual vineyard sites through meticulous viticulture and traditional winemaking methods.

This Brut Champagne is composed entirely of Chardonnay, a grape that thrives in Champagne's cool climate and chalky soils. The resulting wine displays the vibrant green fruit characteristics and racy acidity typical of the region, with a medium body and refined effervescence that rewards both contemplative sipping and celebratory occasions.

Versatile and elegant, this sparkling wine pairs beautifully with shellfish, crab, and lobster, while its crisp acidity complements sushi, Asian cuisine, and delicate poultry dishes. It also works exceptionally well with Comté cheese, citrus-based preparations, and fruit-based desserts, making it an ideal choice for fine dining, villa entertaining, and refined coastal escapes.
