Pale ruby-purple in colour, the Pinot Noir has a nose of freshly crushed red cherries, cranberries and raspberry leaves with hints of forest floor and mossy bark. Medium-bodied, it gives a good amount of red berry and earthy flavours in the mouth with a low to medium level of finely grained tannins and bright acid. It finishes long.
The 2021 Pinot Noir leads with a gently reductive nose, black cherries, caper brine, mulberry and cigar box. In the mouth, the fruit floods the palate and shows a ready succulence of pink and red berries. It is cushioned, plump and juicy, with enough savoury tannin to both shape and balance the fruit. Lovely. Very good.
