Nicolas Rossignol

Nicolas Rossignol is a Burgundy producer based in Volnay, one of the most respected red wine villages in the Côte de Beaune. The domaine focuses exclusively on Pinot Noir, working within the structured appellation system that defines Burgundy's hierarchy of village, premier cru, and grand cru vineyards.

Volnay is renowned for producing some of Burgundy's most elegant and refined Pinot Noir wines. The village's limestone-rich soils and favorable exposure create wines that are typically lighter in body than neighboring Pommard, yet possess remarkable complexity and aging potential. The premier cru vineyards of Volnay, including Les Santenots, are particularly prized for their ability to express both power and finesse in the same wine.

The current range includes Volnay Santenots Premier Cru, sourced from one of the village's most distinguished vineyard sites. Les Santenots lies on the border with Meursault and is known for producing Pinot Noir with distinctive mineral precision and notable longevity.
