Tasting notes
A luminous golden elixir with aromas of candied apricot, quince paste, and honeycomb layered over delicate notes of saffron, ginger, and orange blossom. On the palate, luscious sweetness is beautifully counterbalanced by Chenin Blanc's signature vibrant acidity, delivering flavours of preserved citrus, mango, and toasted brioche. The finish is long, refined, and mineral-driven, with a lingering note of crystallised ginger and beeswax.

About this wine
Domaine de la Roche Moreau produces this Chaume Premier Cru from the Coteaux du Layon in the Loire, made entirely from Chenin Blanc grown on the appellation's south-facing slopes above the Layon river. It is a sweet wine, built for concentration and age-worthiness, at 13% abv.
Expect honeyed apricot, quince and orange peel, lifted by Chenin's natural acidity so it never cloys. Serve chilled at 10-12°C with fruit-based desserts, or take it in the other direction with Roquefort, blue cheese or aged hard cheeses, a pairing this wine handles with ease.
