Mazzei

Mazzei is a renowned wine producer that has been making exceptional wines for over six centuries. Founded in 1435, the Mazzei family has been dedicated to producing high-quality wines that showcase the unique characteristics of their land. Located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, Mazzei is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the region, with a rich history and a commitment to excellence.

The Mazzei estate is located in the Chianti Classico region, which is known for its beautiful rolling hills, ancient vineyards, and exceptional wines. The estate covers over 600 hectares of land, with 240 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards are situated on the hillsides, at an altitude of 250 to 550 meters, which provides ideal conditions for growing grapes. The soil is rich in clay and limestone, and the climate is Mediterranean, with warm summers and mild winters, creating a perfect microclimate for grape production.

Mazzei is best known for its production of Chianti Classico, one of Italy's most famous wines. The Chianti Classico is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are carefully selected from the estate's vineyards. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 12 to 24 months, depending on the vintage, to enhance its flavors and aromas. The result is a well-balanced wine with a deep ruby color, intense aromas of red fruits, and a long, elegant finish.

Apart from Chianti Classico, Mazzei also produces other notable wines, such as Ser Lapo Chianti Classico Riserva, a premium wine made from a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from the estate's oldest vineyards. They also produce Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, a single-vineyard wine that represents
