La Croix Gratiot

La Croix Gratiot is a wine producer based in the Picpoul de Pinet appellation, located within the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The estate works with Picpoul, the white grape variety that defines this coastal appellation situated near the Étang de Thau lagoon, not far from the Mediterranean shoreline.

Picpoul de Pinet is one of the few appellations in Languedoc dedicated exclusively to a single white variety. The Picpoul grape — whose name roughly translates to "lip-stinger" in Occitan, a reference to its naturally high acidity — produces wines that are typically lean, crisp, and saline in character, with citrus and stone fruit notes.
