The robe color of the Blanc de Blancs cuvée is a reflection of its elegance: a pale, pure yellow, shot through with green or silver reflections. Very expressive, the nose reveals aromas of ripe fruit and exotic fruits crowned by a floral touch of broom. On the palate, this tangy freshness and this vitality blossom on aromas of honey, before offering a crunchy finish.
A blend of Sémillon and Rolle (Vermentino) aged in foudres, the 2019 Cotes de Provence Blanc Clos Mireille marries the strident citrus notes of the former with the riper, more melon-scented aromas of the latter. There are hints of pencil shavings as well, plus a bit of stone fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it's a rich, creamy-textured wine in the mouth, imbued with ample weight and texture, then adds a savory, mocha-tinged finish. Expect it to age well for at least 5-6 years.
