Domaine Antech

Domaine Antech is a family-owned winery located in the Languedoc region of southern France. Founded in 1860, the estate has been producing high-quality wines for six generations, making it one of the oldest wineries in the area. The Antech family has a long-standing commitment to crafting exceptional wines that truly reflect the unique terroir of the region.

The winery is situated in the small village of Limoux, which is known as the birthplace of sparkling wines. The region has a rich winemaking history dating back to the 16th century when monks from the nearby Abbey of Saint-Hilaire discovered the traditional method of making sparkling wine. This method, known as the "methode traditionnelle" or "methode Champenoise," is still used by Domaine Antech today to produce their renowned sparkling wines.

Domaine Antech is situated in the heart of the Limoux appellation, which is divided into four sub-regions: Limoux, Haute Vallée, Bassin de l'Aude, and Autan. The unique climate and terroir of each sub-region contribute to the diversity of wines produced by the estate. The Limoux appellation is primarily known for its production of sparkling wines, but Domaine Antech also produces still wines, including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Pinot Noir.

The winery has a total of 40 hectares of vineyards, all of which are sustainably farmed and certified under the Terra Vitis label. This certification ensures that the estate follows strict environmental and social practices in their winemaking process. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soils, which are ideal for producing high-quality grapes with excellent acidity and minerality.

One of the standout wines from Domaine Antech is their Cuvée Emotion, a blend of Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc produced using the traditional method. This wine has won numerous awards and is
