Chateau Saint Marguerite

Château Sainte Marguerite is a winery based in Provence's Côtes de Provence appellation, in southeastern France. The estate focuses exclusively on rosé production, a natural fit for a region where rosé represents the majority of annual output and has been refined over centuries of winemaking tradition.

Côtes de Provence rosés are characterised by their pale salmon colour, delicate fruit profiles, and dry finish. The appellation's Mediterranean climate—with warm days, cool nights from marine influences, and well-drained limestone soils—creates conditions suited to producing dry, refreshing wines rather than sweet or heavy styles. This balance of freshness and subtle flavour complexity distinguishes the region's best examples from simpler holiday wines.

The estate's current range employs the classic Provençal blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle, the three varieties that form the backbone of quality Côtes de Provence rosés. Cinsault provides acidity and delicate red fruit notes, Grenache contributes structure and warmth, while Rolle (also known as Vermentino) adds aromatic complexity and minerality. The two expressions currently available—Fantastique and Symphonie—reflect different approaches to this traditional combination.
