Chateau Beauregard Ducasse

Pomerol is a small appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, situated on a plateau to the east of Pétrus and bordered by Saint-Émilion. It produces exclusively red wines and is unusual among Bordeaux appellations for having no formal classification system. The soils vary across the plateau, with clay and gravel dominating much of the terrain, and it is this clay content that gives Pomerol its particular affinity with Merlot — the dominant grape across the appellation.

Château Beauregard Ducasse is a producer based within Pomerol, making red wines in one of Bordeaux's most compact and sought-after appellations. The estate should not be confused with Château Beauregard, a more widely documented Pomerol property; Beauregard Ducasse is a distinct producer with its own identity. Right Bank Bordeaux at this level tends toward wines with plush texture, dark fruit character, and a rounder tannic structure than their Left Bank counterparts.
