Tasting notes
Classic Puligny with a pure, finely etched nose of white flowers, lemon zest, green pear and crushed stone, framed by subtle toasted hazelnut and a touch of butter from careful oak ageing. The palate is precise and taut yet silky, with layers of citrus, orchard fruit and chalky minerality. Vibrant acidity gives energy and length, and the finish is saline and persistent, with great potential for development.

About this wine
Paul Pernot's Clos de la Garenne is a Premier Cru white from Puligny-Montrachet, in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. It is made from Chardonnay and sits at 13% abv, a comfortable weight for the appellation.
Puligny is known for white Burgundy of precision rather than bulk: citrus and white orchard fruit, a stony mineral line and a fine, gently creamy texture. Serve it cool, not icy, with lobster, shellfish or poached white fish. It also works with roast chicken and a ripe slice of Comté on the cheese board.
