Blended from five parcels, all of which are planted to the Old Wente selection, the 2020 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard is entirely barrel fermented and aged in about 60% new French oak. Despite that, gently grilled pineapple slices make the first impression, not oak, with additional fruit nuances of white peach, pear and melon also appearing. It's medium to full-bodied but balances that heft and custardy richness with bright acids and a crisp, citrusy finish.
Hudson Vineyards produces acclaimed Chardonnay from the heart of Napa Valley, California's premier white wine region. This full-bodied white wine showcases the distinctive character of Napa Valley terroir, where cool coastal breezes and warm days create ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay. The wine balances citrus and stone fruit notes with subtle tropical undertones, delivering medium alcohol and acidity that make it approachable yet sophisticated.
This Napa Valley Chardonnay pairs beautifully with a diverse range of cuisines and ingredients. Enjoy it alongside shellfish, crab, and lobster for classic wine and seafood harmony, or with cream-based pasta dishes and mushroom preparations. The wine's structure also complements poultry dishes, including chicken curry, while its elegance shines with sushi and sashimi. It's equally at home with aged cheeses like Gruyere and Cheddar, or the earthy luxury of truffles. Whether for fine dining, a villa gathering, or yacht entertaining, this Chardonnay delivers refined pleasure in every glass.
