Tasting notes
Luminous and precise, this Sancerre opens with vibrant aromas of white grapefruit, gooseberry, and fresh-cut grass, underpinned by a distinctive flinty minerality characteristic of the Guigne-Chèvres lieu-dit. On the palate, zesty citrus and green apple flavors are beautifully framed by chalky, saline tension. The mouthfeel is sleek and focused, with bright acidity carrying through to a long, mineral-driven finish with a subtle herbal lift.

About this wine
Domaine Vacheron produces this single-vineyard Sancerre from the Guigne-Chèvres site in the Loire Valley, made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grown on the appellation's chalky, flint-streaked soils.
Expect the bright citrus and gooseberry cut typical of Sancerre, backed by a flinty, saline minerality that gives real backbone rather than lean austerity. Serve at 10-12°C alongside oysters, langoustine or chèvre, or with dishes carrying a little heat - the acidity also handles pork and green vegetables with ease.
