Caymus Vineyards - Special Selection - Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2013 Caymus Special Selection shows a deep, dense ruby‑black core with aromas of blackberry, black currant, crème de cassis, mocha and a hint of sweet oak leading into richer notes of black plum and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full‑bodied and plush, with generous dark fruit, blackberry, plum and cassis, layered over spice, cigar box and gentle earthiness, wrapped in velvety, fine‑grained tannins. The texture is opulent and dense, yet balanced, giving a silky mid‑palate and smooth integration of oak and acidity. The finish is long, powerful and refined, with lingering dark fruit, mocha and subtle spice, a Cabernet built for now and years of further aging.
