In the heart of the Cilento National Park, in a unique terroir, where the hills and small mountains overlook the sea, the San Salvatore 1988 farm was born. Among the wines of this winery, we find Falanghina, a white wine produced from the vine of the same name in purity, which grows on a soil rich in minerals with an ideal exposure for the perfect ripening of the grapes. After the manual harvest of the carefully selected grapes, they arrive at the cellar where they undergo a soft pressing and cryomaceration for 6 hours at 4 °. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a very low temperature and aging for 6 months on its own fine lees. Pleasant floral aromas stand out on the nose including broom, with slight notes of green apple, ripe pear, pineapple and banana, pleasant citrus hints also stand out. An intense wine of a brilliant straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The sip is savory but still elegant and fresh, with a persuasive taste and a persistent finish.

Azienda Agricola San Salvatore is a winery located in the Campania region of Italy, known for producing high-quality wines using traditional methods. One of their most popular wines is the Falanghina, a white wine that has been produced in the region for centuries. The history of Falanghina dates back to ancient Rome, where it was known as Falernian wine and was considered one of the finest wines in the empire. The grape variety was almost lost to history until the 1970s when it was rediscovered and revived by winemakers in Campania.

San Salvatore's Falanghina is made from grapes grown on the slopes of the Cilento National Park, where the vineyards benefit from the warm Mediterranean climate and the cooling sea breezes. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected to ensure only the best fruit is used in the wine. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the delicate aromas and flavours of the grape. The result is a wine that is crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit, and a hint of minerality.

San Salvatore's Falanghina is a perfect match for seafood dishes, particularly shellfish and grilled fish. It also pairs well with light pasta dishes and salads. Overall, San Salvatore's Falanghina is a delicious and well-crafted wine that showcases the best of Campania's winemaking traditions. Its history and unique flavour profile make it a popular choice for wine lovers around the world.

Campania is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing some of the country's most unique and flavorful wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to ancient times when the Greeks first introduced grape cultivation to the area.

The style of production in Campania is heavily influenced by the region's volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and nutrients that give the wines a distinct character. The most famous grape varieties grown in Campania are Aglianico, Fiano, and Greco, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and sparkling wines.

Aglianico is the most widely planted grape in Campania and is used to produce full-bodied red wines with intense flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earth. Fiano and Greco are both white grape varieties that produce crisp, refreshing wines with notes of citrus, apple, and mineral.

Overall, Campania is a region that is known for producing wines with a strong sense of place and a unique character that reflects the region's history and terroir. Whether you are looking for a bold red wine or a crisp white, Campania has something to offer for every wine lover.
