Jean Michel Chartron 's Puligny -Montrachet is adorned with spices ginger, nutmeg and white flowers. The aroma is delicate, the oak is subtle and liquorice-like. Its texture is almost chewy, revealing the tension of the limestone to the senses, highlighting the typically of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation .
Domaine Jean Chartron's Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru is a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay grown in this Côte de Beaune commune, bottled at premier cru level.
Expect the classic Puligny signature: white flowers, citrus and a touch of hazelnut over a mineral core, with enough weight and texture to carry through a meal. Serve at 11-13°C with lobster, turbot in a cream sauce, roast chicken or aged Comté.
