Château Miraval is located in the Provence village of Correns, the first 100% organic village in France. All of the crops, including grapes, are grown organically in this wild and picturesque town. Tucked away in its own private valley, the Château is surrounded by ancient woodlands and olive groves. In 2012, owners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie partnered with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel fame, who oversee wine production at the estate. Their continued dedication to improving quality in both the vineyards and the cellar, have seen the wines go from strength to strength, with Château Miraval today considered one of the great names of Provence.

I vitigni tradizionali dominano le coltivazioni, con Grenache, Cinsault e Syrah che formano la base della maggior parte dei blend di rosato, spesso complementati da Mourvèdre e Tibouren. I vini bianchi presentano tipicamente Rolle (Vermentino), Clairette e Ugni Blanc, mentre i rossi enfatizzano Grenache, Syrah e Mourvèdre. I rosati provenzali sono caratterizzati dal loro colore rosa salmone pallido, ottenuto attraverso il contatto minimo con le bucce e la pressatura immediata, che risulta in vini freschi e secchi con delicati sapori di frutta e note minerali che riflettono il terroir diverso della regione.

The Méditerranée Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP) is a wine appellation that covers a vast area in the south-eastern region of France, encompassing Provence, the Rhône Valley, and parts of the Southern Alps. This designation allows for creative winemaking while preserving the unique character of the Mediterranean climate and terroir.

Wines produced under the Méditerranée IGP label showcase a broad diversity of styles and grape varieties. Both international and traditional French grapes are cultivated, including Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Viognier, and Chardonnay, among others. This flexibility encourages winemakers to blend traditional and modern approaches, resulting in wines that range from light, aromatic whites and rosés to robust, fruit-forward reds.

The region's warm climate, abundant sunshine, and cooling influences from the Mediterranean Sea contribute to wines with vibrant fruit flavours, balanced acidity, and a touch of minerality.
