Tasting notes
Bright ruby in colour with an inviting nose of fresh red cherries, wild strawberries, and a delicate floral lift of violet. On the palate, the wine shows characteristic Mercurey elegance with ripe raspberry and cranberry fruit underpinned by subtle earthy minerality and a whisper of spice. The tannins are fine-grained and approachable, with lively acidity lending structure and freshness through a clean, medium-length finish.

About this wine
Ammonis makes this Mercurey in the Côte Chalonnaise, the Burgundy sub-region south of the Côte d'Or where Pinot Noir takes on a firmer, earthier edge than its grander neighbours. Mercurey is one of the Chalonnaise's most reliable appellations for structured, savoury red Burgundy at a fair price.
Expect red cherry and dark berry fruit over a base of forest floor and gentle spice, with enough grip to stand up to richer dishes. Serve at 14-16°C alongside beef, venison, game birds or duck - this is a Pinot Noir built for the table, not just the glass.
