The Royal Salute
Ingredients
- 45 ml Royal Salute 30 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky
- 15 ml Bénédictine
- 10 ml fresh lemon juice
- 7.5 ml honey syrup (1:1 ratio)
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
Method
- Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the Royal Salute, Bénédictine, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, and both bitters.
- Stir continuously for 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass using a fine mesh strainer.
Serve
Serve in a chilled coupe glass with a single large ice cube, garnished with a twisted lemon peel positioned over the surface and a single Luxardo cherry dropped into the drink.
