Vincent Paris

Vincent Paris is a winemaker based in the northern Rhône Valley, producing wines within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. Crozes-Hermitage is the largest appellation in the northern Rhône, surrounding the more celebrated hill of Hermitage and covering a broad mix of granite slopes and flatter alluvial plains along the Rhône river. The appellation produces both red and white wines, though red Syrah is its dominant expression.

Northern Rhône Syrah is distinct from its southern counterparts — typically more structured, with higher acidity, firm tannins, and a savory, peppery character often described in terms of dark olive, smoked meat, and violet aromatics. Crozes-Hermitage reds can vary considerably in weight and complexity depending on whether the fruit comes from the granitic hillside parcels closer to Hermitage or the more alluvial, lower-lying sites. The best examples are capable of genuine aging, developing earthy and meaty complexity over time.

The current range includes a Crozes-Hermitage Sélection from the 2020 vintage, made entirely from Syrah. The term "Sélection" in this context suggests a curated or entry-level bottling within the producer's lineup, crafted from selected parcels within the appellation.
