Society de la Rassi

Society de la Rassi is a producer working across two countries, with wines drawing from southern France's Côtes de Provence appellation and Spain's Castilla-La Mancha region. Their current range focuses entirely on dealcoholised sparkling wines, a category that has grown considerably as techniques for gentle alcohol removal — typically through spinning cone or vacuum distillation — have improved to better preserve aromatic character. Both wines clock in at 0.5% ABV, placing them within the legal definition of dealcoholised wine in most markets.

Côtes de Provence is best known for its rosé production, where varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Tibouren, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Ugni Blanc are commonly blended. Tibouren in particular is a grape closely associated with Provence, rarely found elsewhere, and it contributes a distinctive floral and saline quality to rosé blends from the region. Chardonnay, while not a traditional Provençal variety, appears in their white sparkling wine alongside a Brut style designation.

The Beso Besa is a dealcoholised sparkling rosé drawing on a broad blend of Provence's classic varieties, while the Neue Brut is a Chardonnay-based sparkling white in a Brut style. Both reflect the producer's focus on the non-alcoholic and low-alcohol segment, applying traditional southern French grape material to a format aimed at consumers seeking structured, wine-derived drinks without significant alcohol content.
