Tasting notes

This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

About this whisky

Buffalo Trace is a renowned producer of Bourbon Whiskey, with a rich history dating back to the late 1700s. The distillery is located in Frankfort, Kentucky, and is known for its high-quality, small-batch bourbons that are crafted using traditional methods. The Buffalo Trace distillery was originally established in 1773 by a man named Hancock Lee, and has since changed hands several times over the years. The Blanton family purchased the distillery in 1869 and were instrumental in the development of the distillery, helping to establish it as one of the premier bourbon producers in the region.

Today, Buffalo Trace is known for its wide range of bourbons, which are crafted using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. The distillery uses a unique mash bill that includes corn, rye, and barley, which gives its bourbons a distinctive flavor profile. The bourbons are aged in charred oak barrels, which impart a rich, smoky flavor to the whiskey.

One of the most popular bourbons produced by Buffalo Trace is its namesake Buffalo Trace Bourbon. This bourbon is aged for at least eight years, and has a smooth, mellow flavor with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Another popular bourbon is Eagle Rare, which is aged for ten years and has a rich, complex flavor with notes of toffee, leather, and tobacco.

Buffalo Trace also produces a range of other bourbons, including Blanton's, which is aged for at least six years and has a bold, spicy flavor with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The distillery also produces a range of experimental bourbons, which are aged in different types of barrels or finished with unique flavorings.

Overall, Buffalo Trace is a top producer of Bourbon Whiskey, with a long history of crafting high-quality, small-batch bourbons using traditional methods. Its bourbons are known for their rich, complex flavors and are highly sought after by whiskey enthusiasts around the world.
