Tasting notes

This Viognier opens with an expressive bouquet of white peach, apricot, and honeysuckle, layered with delicate notes of orange blossom and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with characteristic Viognier opulence, delivering flavors of ripe stone fruit, candied ginger, and a whisper of toasted almond. The finish is long and perfumed, balanced by refreshing acidity that prevents the wine from feeling heavy despite its generous 14% alcohol.

About this wine

Taburnum comes from Les Vins de Vienne, a collaboration between Cuilleron, Gaillard and Villard working in the northern Rhône. This Viognier is bottled under the Collines Rhodaniennes IGP, the wider designation that surrounds Condrieu and shares its steep, granite-terraced vineyards.

Expect the variety's signature perfume of apricot and white blossom, with a textured, weighty palate typical of northern Rhône Viognier. Serve at 10-12°C alongside charcuterie, shellfish, pork or roast poultry, or set it beside a hard cheese board for contrast between the wine's richness and the cheese's salt.
